Has anyone looked into Joseph Babcock's social circle at the time he disappeared? I feel like understanding more about the people he was close to could shed some light on his case. It's odd that it took five years for his disappearance to be officially reported. Maybe someone else in his life might have crucial information about his last days or any stressors he might have been dealing with. Sometimes even small details from friends or acquaintances can become pivotal in missing person cases. I wonder if any of his friends from that time are still around in Stayton or if any have been interviewed recently. There's just so much uncertainty surrounding his disappearance; each piece of the puzzle feels crucial to putting together at least some part of the story. What does everyone else think about looking into close contacts as a potential lead?
