It's so incredibly sad to hear about Keith McMillen's passing in such a tragic and unnecessary way. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are undoubtedly experiencing an unimaginable loss. This case brings to light just how crucial firearm safety is. The fact that the rifle went off while being "function tested" raises so many questions for me about how thorough or informed these tests were supposed to be. Was Clayton Nored even adequately trained to perform such tests, especially in a residential setting with others nearby? It's a lot to think about, and I hope this tragedy serves as a wake-up call for better safety protocols. It's small comforts, but perhaps raising awareness about such issues can prevent future incidents. Thinking of Keith's loved ones and hoping they find some measure of peace in time.
