Has anyone noticed how social media seems to play such a big role in these missing person cases nowadays? With Yanice Rivera, it's interesting (and a bit frustrating) how little info we have. I mean, in this day and age, you'd expect there to be some digital footprint or at least a post mentioning her whereabouts around the time she disappeared. Her pink hair is such a distinctive feature—if she was out and about in Houston, surely someone must've noticed?
It's also strange how her case wasn't added to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System until over a month after she went missing. Does anyone know if that's typical protocol or could this have caused any delays in the investigation? Cases like hers make me think about how every minute counts and I wonder if the time gap affected any leads they might've had. It's just baffling how someone can just vanish like that.
