I've been following the Azariah Smith case, and something that's been sticking with me is the mystery around the home security cameras. It's troubling to think about how quickly and quietly a teenager can go missing when there's no footage to piece it all together. I read that she supposedly turned off the cameras before leaving. How did a 15-year-old know how to do that? Was it something she had done before, or did she receive help? It makes me wonder if someone else might have been involved or if it was part of a plan. The lack of visual evidence certainly made it difficult for investigators and the community to track her movements in the critical hours following her disappearance. It goes to show how essential even the smallest piece of technology can be in investigations like these. Anyone else have thoughts on this aspect of the case or similar experiences with how home security plays into investigations?
