I was reading about Virginia Pena’s case, and it got me thinking about how important those first few hours of an investigation are. I can’t imagine the anguish her family and friends are going through, especially with so many unanswered questions. It must be terribly frustrating not knowing who is responsible or why this happened. The fact that those in the Yukon with her weren’t physically harmed—thank God for that little mercy—must still weigh on their conscience, reliving those terrifying moments. I wonder how investigators are going about tracking down that dark-colored pickup truck and... has there been any mention of potential leads from surveillance footage or eyewitnesses in the area? Keeping Virginia’s loved ones in my thoughts, hoping they find the peace and justice they deserve.
