Does anyone else find it unsettling that Charon was found as if she was trying to sleep? It makes me wonder if she was completely caught off guard during a moment of vulnerability. If there was an ongoing argument about such significant issues as a divorce, maybe it was a situation where she thought the night was over, only to be blindsided by violence. It just seems incredibly tragic that even in her own home—the place where she should have felt safest—she was endangered. My heart goes out to her family and friends who have to grapple with this unimaginable loss. It's situations like these that truly make me wish there were more accessible resources for people in volatile relationships before it ever gets to this point.
