Susan Noelle Cvengros, 24, was found murdered in her Washington, D.C., basement apartment on the 400 block of F Street NE. Her body was discovered on May 21, 1999; she had been stabbed multiple times and her throat was cut. There were no obvious signs of forced entry, and investigators noted evidence suggesting visitors the night before, including an empty pizza box and wine glasses.
Cvengros, a South Carolina native who had moved to D.C. to pursue art and was working as a waitress, had recently quit a job as an exotic dancer to focus on her artwork and a new restaurant position at Union Station. Police collected evidence and DNA from the scene, but the investigation went cold and the family received no answers for years.
Does anyone have information about Cvengros’s contacts or activities in May 1999 that could help reopen leads?
