Does anyone have more info about where Louise Frank's purse was found exactly? I recently visited Point Beach State Forest and couldn't help but wonder how her purse ended up there. Given that Lakeshore Park and Point Beach are quite a distance apart, it doesn't seem like it would simply wash ashore unless something specific happened along the way. Do tides or currents in that area normally carry items that far, or is it possible someone might have moved it? Also, why was her purse the only thing found? This case always gives me such chills. Thoughts?
Hey everyone,
I can't stop thinking about the discovery of Louise Frank's purse on Point Beach. The fact that it washed ashore makes me wonder how far into the investigation they checked the current patterns of the lake and river. It seems crucial to understand where it might have drifted from if it indeed ended up in the water. I read somewhere that Lake Michigan currents can be pretty unpredictable.
Did they ever bring in any experts on currents or tides back then to map out possible drift routes? I'm no expert, but it seems like a solid lead that could've been vital. Also, why was no other personal item of hers besides the purse ever found? It's like the lake swallowed everything else or it never ended up there at all.
Given the mention about her contemplating suicide, I wonder how thoroughly they investigated other possibilities. Could it be that someone else picked up the purse before it hit the water, either by accident or perhaps something more sinister?
Curious to know what others think about the purse location and if any other searches focused on that angle.
