On the evening of January 20, 2000, 30-year-old John McKinley Boatwright and 28-year-old Gina Latrice Gordon were both found shot to death in the 1800 block of Gallaudet Street NE in Washington, DC. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived after reports of gunshots and discovered the two victims already fatally wounded; the Homicide Branch took over the investigation.

Public bulletins and cold-case listings note only that the pair were found shot to death at about 7:05 p.m., with no publicly released account of a dispute, robbery, or other incident that explains why they were targeted or how they came to be together that night. The department issued a reward bulletin offering cash for information leading to an arrest and conviction and continued to list the case among open, unsolved homicides.

Do you have any information about John Boatwright, Gina Gordon, or that stretch of Gallaudet Street on January 20, 2000?
