I can't stop thinking about the location of this tragic incident. A McDonald's drive-thru is such a public, everyday place; it's unsettling how violence can erupt in places we consider safe and mundane. Daniel was just going about his day, probably not expecting anything of the sort. My heart goes out to his family, who surely never thought they'd have to face such an unimaginable loss in such a random, public setting. It leaves me wondering not just about the perpetrator's motives, but also about the societal issues that contribute to these kinds of tragedies. How do we prevent a place meant for simple comfort food from becoming a crime scene? It's all so senseless.
