Did anyone else read the recent article about the police interviews after Rashaad's tragic death? It mentioned that Jimenez claimed the shooting was in self-defense. I'm having a really hard time wrapping my head around that. With all the lives impacted and the way Rashaad's family and friends are left to cope with this loss, it seems so unfathomable that someone could resort to such violence. This neighborhood has been through enough, and now they’re dealing with the aftermath of homes being hit as well. I really hope the investigation brings out the truth so that Rashaad's loved ones can find some kind of peace eventually. Does anyone know more about how the community is reacting or what might happen next in terms of support for Rashaad's family?

I can't stop thinking about those who were nearby during the shooting—how terrifying it must have been for them, and the ripple effect it has on the community. It's not just the family of Rashaad who are affected, but also the neighbors who heard the shots and saw the aftermath. The fact that multiple homes were hit by stray bullets is just so alarming. I'm wondering what kind of support or counseling is being made available to them. I really hope the community is rallying together to support each other through such a traumatic experience. Stay strong, everyone.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the community impact around 7th and Southern since the tragic shooting of Rashaad O'Shea Johnson. It's truly unsettling how this has affected not only Johnson's loved ones but the entire neighborhood. Multiple homes being hit during the incident is a stark reminder of how these violent events ripple outwards, touching countless lives we might not initially consider. I can't imagine the fear and distress the residents must have felt that night. It makes me wonder if measures are being taken to ensure their safety moving forward. Does anyone know if there have been any community meetings or responses from local officials addressing these safety concerns? It seems crucial for the neighborhood to feel supported and for there to be a collective effort to bring about some sense of security and normalcy after such a traumatic event. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this.
