I recently read through some more details of the Jonathan Amerault case and something that's been tugging at my heartstrings is the bench dedicated to him at the Boys & Girls Club. I can't stop thinking about how many young lives he must’ve touched as a camp counselor there. Volunteering and being a positive role model for kids is such an admirable quality, and it seems Jonathan had that in spades. In the middle of this tragedy, it’s a small comfort to know that his legacy continues through that bench and the fond memories people have of him. It’s a stark reminder of how important kindness and community engagement can be. I hope the bench brings a bit of peace and warmth to those who knew him. Thoughts are with his family and friends as they navigate life without such a vibrant person.
