I can't stop thinking about how strong Dae'tiauna's family and friends have been through all of this. It’s hard to imagine the pain of losing someone so vibrant and full of life. She was just starting out with her own career and had so much ahead of her. As someone who also grew up in Omaha, it hits close to home, knowing that violence can strike so unexpectedly. I really hope the community continues to rally around Dre'Vonce and offer him all the love and support he’ll need growing up without his mom. Does anyone know if there are ongoing community initiatives or efforts to address gun violence in her honor? I feel like something positive needs to come out of this senseless tragedy.
