It's difficult to wrap my head around why something like this had to happen in Lincoln, especially to someone like Javis. I read somewhere that he was a huge Spider-Man fan, and it's just so telling of the kind of person he was—someone who valued kindness and perseverance no matter what life threw his way. It really hits home thinking about how special he was to so many people. The community's outpouring of love during his vigil at Cristo Rey was truly moving. My thoughts are with his family during this incredibly tough time. It's just so difficult to accept that someone who brought so much joy to others was taken in such a senseless act of violence.
