I was reading about Kenwania Brooks's unsolved case again, and something struck me about the role of community involvement in solving these cold cases. With cases like his, sometimes it seems like they drop off the radar after the initial attention wanes. It's been over 15 years since that tragic night, and I can't help but think about the impact his loss still has on his kids. They’ve had to grow up without their dad, who was clearly a huge part of their lives. We know that even minor details can be key, so I'm hoping that renewed efforts will bring forward someone with that missing piece of the puzzle. Maybe someone saw or heard something that they didn't think was important at the time. It's encouraging to see the Elsmere Police Department emphasizing the importance of community input. For those of us who are local, let's spread the word and keep the conversation alive. Every voice and tip counts in bringing some peace to his family. Sending strength and support to them as they continue to wait for answers.
