Hey everyone,
I've been reading up on the tragic case at Delaware State University, and something that's been troubling me is the mysterious nature of the whole situation. As we know, Loyer D. Braden was initially arrested and then released due to inconsistent witness testimonies. It’s bizarre how in a place bustling with students, reliable accounts seem hard to come by. It makes you wonder about the safety protocols surrounding witness protection or how information travels in such close-knit communities.
It's truly unsettling to think that the justice system couldn't hold someone accountable due to a lack of conclusive evidence. It's vital that we talk about how justice can sometimes be hampered by such challenges, leaving families like Shalita Middleton's in limbo.
Does anyone have thoughts on how universities or communities can better handle these investigations to ensure justice is pursued effectively? I think we need to spotlight this, not just for closure but for safer campuses all around.
Sending love and support to Shalita’s family and hoping for truth and resolution.
Stay safe all.
Has anyone else been curious about the campus security measures that were implemented after the tragedy at Delaware State University? I’ve been doing some reading, and it seems like the university acted quickly, but I wonder how those swift actions affected the students and staff in the long term. It's easy to overlook the ongoing effects of such events. Campus safety protocols are crucial, but I can't help but feel for the students who lived through that terrifying lockdown while dealing with the loss of a peer. Have they changed any policies since then to prevent another tragedy? It's just so hard to imagine going to class after something so horrific happened so close to home. Thoughts? ✨
