I just can't stop thinking about how the timing of Richard Dean Watson's girlfriend’s passing might play a role in all this. Could it be that her death affected him so deeply that it pushed him to isolate even more than usual? I know he was used to being out of contact for stretches, but the holidays can be particularly tough, especially right after losing someone you care about that deeply. The fact that he disappeared so soon after his girlfriend passed makes me wonder if this could be more of an emotional response. I've seen it happen where grief can lead people to just vanish, seeking solitude. It's unfortunate the report didn't go in until March though; those first few weeks after someone goes missing are the most crucial for gathering evidence. Hoping the Danbury PD has managed to piece together some leads even with the delay in reporting. If anyone has any insights about his state of mind back in December, even if it seems insignificant, it might help piece together why he took off like this. Please share anything unusual you might have noticed about his behavior back then.
