I've been following the case of Latahesia Hill and can't get over the overwhelming sadness her friends and family must be feeling. I recently came across discussions highlighting the tragic increase in violent crimes in Wilmington during 2021, and it just adds another layer to this terrible situation. It's concerning that violence was escalating so rapidly in the area at that time. I wonder if the community and law enforcement have been able to collaborate more effectively since then to curb this trend. It seems like there was such a demand for improved public safety following Hill's death, and it makes me hope that some positive changes have been made, even amidst such a tragic circumstance. If anyone has any updates on how the community’s efforts to combat crime have evolved, I’d love to hear more. The more we learn, the better we can advocate for safer neighborhoods.
