I came across some info while reading about Zyair Burton’s case that really makes me think about the bigger picture. Wilmington has seen a disturbing rise in gun violence, and it breaks my heart to see another young life lost to this senseless cycle. Zyair was only 24, with so much ahead of him, and it's devastating for his family and friends.
From what I've read in local news and updates, our community has been calling for change, and rightly so. But what can be done to genuinely address this issue before more lives are altered forever? Maybe it’s about more community engagement or mental health initiatives, but whatever it is, it needs to happen soon.
I really hope anyone with information about what happened that night can find the courage to speak to Detective Mosley. It could bring much-needed justice to Zyair’s family and maybe even make a broader impact. We can’t let his death be in vain. Stay safe, everyone, and let’s keep talking about how we can support each other and make our community a safer place for everyone.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Zyair Burton's tragic death, and I can't shake the feeling that this pattern of violence is just devastating for our community. I came across some discussions suggesting possible surveillance cameras in the area of South Claymont Street. Does anyone here know if businesses or residents nearby might have caught something on video that could help?
I find it so frustrating when evidence that could possibly lead to a break in the case might just be sitting around, unnoticed. Every detail matters and I can’t imagine the pain Zyair’s family is going through without answers. If anyone has any insights or knows more about how to encourage local businesses to check their footage, please share.
Hoping for justice for Zyair and healing for everyone affected. Stay safe out there.
I came across the news about Zyair Burton's tragic death, and it really got me thinking about the safety of our neighborhoods. It's so devastating that another young life has been lost to gun violence. My heart goes out to Zyair’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
What’s been bothering me is the lack of arrests in this case. It must be unimaginably hard for the family not to have any answers or justice yet. I’m hoping Detective Mosley and the rest of the Wilmington PD can get some solid leads soon.
But beyond this case, I’m concerned about the city’s growing issue with gun violence. We need to come together as a community to find effective solutions, and it’ll take all of us to make our streets safer. Have any of you heard about any initiatives or programs that have made a difference in reducing violence in your areas? Sharing ideas might help us tackle these issues locally and maybe save lives.
