Hello everyone, I recently stumbled across the case of Patrolman Patrick Henry Jordan's tragic death in 1903, and it's been on my mind ever since. I noticed something that hasn't been talked about much - the timing of Patrolman Jordan's promotion. It breaks my heart to think that he was promoted to patrolman just five days before his life was cut short. Can you imagine the pride and excitement he and his family must have felt? It seems so surreal and unfair that his career and life were abruptly ended while performing his duty. This whole case is a stark reminder of the constant risks law enforcement officers face. They truly embody courage, putting themselves in harm's way to ensure our safety. If anyone has more details or personal insights about Jordan’s life or what his contributions meant to the Bangor community, I'd love to hear. Such sacrifices should be remembered and appreciated. Sending thoughts to his family and the Bangor PD community. Stay safe, everyone.
