I’ve been following the chilling case of Walter Christian since it happened back in 2004. It’s hard not to feel a pang of empathy for his family and friends, who are still searching for answers as the years go by. I often wonder about the witnesses who might have seen or heard something from that alley on Orleans Place that grim evening. It was around 8:15 pm when everything unfolded, not exactly late into the night — people might have been coming home from work or heading out for errands. If someone out there has even the slightest recollection of something unusual that could seem trivial — a car speeding off, someone loitering suspiciously — it could turn out to be crucial. It's gut-wrenching to think that a tiny piece of this puzzle could bring the family some sense of closure they've long deserved. The detectives, Combee and Lawrence, must be just as eager as the rest of us to crack this case wide open. Let’s keep circulating this information so that maybe, just maybe, the right person sees it and decides it’s time to speak up.
