Hi everyone, I've been following the Calloway and Murray case, and while there's a lot to discuss, something that's been on my mind is how brave those two young kids must have been. I can't even begin to fathom what they went through, witnessing such a traumatic event and then having the presence of mind to go seek help at the Coast Guard station. It's hard to imagine the strength and courage required to make that decision, especially at such tender ages of 6 and 9. These kids were forced into a situation no child should ever experience. It's a testament to their resilience and a heartbreaking reminder of the continuing aftermath of domestic violence. I hope that they received the care and support needed to navigate such an unimaginable tragedy. Does anyone know if there are any local support systems or foundations that were set up to specifically help the children of domestic violence victims? I imagine this is a crucial gap that needs attention, not just in Boothbay Harbor but everywhere. Supporting and protecting these kids should be a priority for all communities. Sending thoughts and prayers to everyone involved and affected by this case.

Hey everyone, I've been following Chevelle Calloway and Sarah Murray's case, and I can't help but think about the incredible strength and bravery of those two kids who found themselves in such a horrific situation. Imagine being so young and having the presence of mind to find help after witnessing something so traumatic. It’s just heartbreaking to think about, and my heart goes out to them. I'm also really moved by how the Boothbay Harbor community rallied together in response. The formation of the Domestic Abuse Prevention Council seems like such a crucial step in the right direction. It’s inspiring to see people turning unimaginable tragedy into activism that could save lives in the future. For those in the area, have there been any updates on the work the DAPC is doing now? Are there any ways those of us not nearby might support their cause? It’s important to keep this momentum going in memory of Chevelle and Sarah. Thanks for letting me share. Always hoping for healing and peace for those affected.

Hey everyone, I've been following the discussions on Chevelle Calloway and her mother-in-law's tragic case, and something just struck me. The resilience of the Boothbay Harbor community in the aftermath of such a traumatic event is truly remarkable. The establishment of the Domestic Abuse Prevention Council (DAPC) really shows how people can come together to create change out of such sorrow. It got me thinking about how vital these community-driven initiatives are. It's not just about reacting to violence but preventing future tragedies. Do any of you have experience with similar organizations in your areas? How effective do you think these councils are in raising awareness and enacting real change? Also, my heart goes out to the students and colleagues at Cony High School who had to cope with the loss of such a lively and inspiring teacher. Does anyone know how they've been doing since? It must have been a tough time for all involved. Just knowing that people are still talking about her and keeping her memory alive is so important. Stay safe, everyone. ?
