I’ve been thinking a lot about the tragic loss of Lee Holbrook Nason and it's just so unsettling to me. Lee was truly a pillar in the Yarmouth community, especially with the work she did at The Holbrook Center and Royal River Farm. It’s remarkable how she dedicated her life to educating young children and working with horses, clearly passions that meant so much to her. The sense of loss must be immense for everyone who knew her, not only for the vibrant life she led but also for the future she won’t get to have. I didn’t know her personally, but it’s clear from everything I’ve read that she left a significant impact on those around her. This incident really brings to light how important it is to recognize signs of domestic violence because often, as outsiders, we might not see what’s below the surface. My heart goes out to her family and the entire community who lost such a bright light that day. For those more familiar with similar situations, what resources have you found helpful in recognizing and preventing domestic violence in your own communities?
