I've been following Richard Lobor's case since I first heard about it, and I find myself really homesick for a time when these stories didn't happen so often. What gets to me is imagining Richard's mindset during those terrifying moments. He was trying to calm things down and ended up paying the ultimate price. It's painfully clear he was the kind of person who cared deeply for others, and it's crushing to think about how he tried to do the right thing, only for it to turn out so tragically. For his family, who traveled halfway across the world for safety and a fresh start, this must feel like a nightmare. Navigating life in a new country is already a huge challenge, and to lose someone you love in such a violent manner... it's just unimaginable. It underscores the harsh reality that violence and danger can find their way into anyone's life, regardless of where you're from or where you call home. Sending love and strength to everyone who knew and loved Richard. Let's hope his story inspires people to foster more understanding and compassion in our communities.
