Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about the man who found Carlos Ordonez's body while walking his dog along the Fore River. It must have been incredibly tough and shocking to stumble upon such a scene. I can't imagine what he went through, not just in that moment, but possibly in the days following, knowing he was the one who ended the search for Carlos.
This also got me pondering about the vital role our community plays in supporting those we might not even know personally. Carlos was issued a Silver Alert, which means there were likely many eyes out searching for him. It’s a reminder of how interconnected we are and how rallying for one person can highlight the importance of community involvement in all aspects of safety and awareness. We might not always have the power to change outcomes, but we can be there to support each other when needed.
Does anyone know if the city offers any support to people like the man who found Carlos, in terms of counseling or therapy? It seems vital that we care for everyone touched by these tragic events.
Sending warmth and strength to Carlos's family and friends. They're in my thoughts.
