I keep thinking about the families who have to deal with the unbearable loss of a loved one, like Ricky Dobbins' family. It’s hard to imagine waking up every day not knowing why or who could have done this. It's been so many years, and I can’t help but wonder if someone out there might recall something from that night. Maybe a small detail that didn’t seem important at the time. The reward is pretty significant, which makes me hope it might encourage someone to finally speak up. Detective Partman and his team must be working so hard, and they need all the help they can get. If anyone here knows someone with even a tiny piece of information, please encourage them to come forward. Every little bit could be the key to finally bringing some peace to Ricky’s family.
Does anyone else remember hearing about the unsolved murder of Ricky Darnell Dobbins back in 2004? It’s so unsettling that all these years have passed without any answers for his family. I read that the crime happened right on Lamont Street, a place some of us pass quite frequently. It makes you think about how close to home these tragedies can hit. For those unfamiliar, the police have been quite persistent over the years in asking for any info that could lead to an arrest. Detective Dwayne Partman is still the person to contact if you know anything at all about that night.
This case always makes me ponder about those individuals who might have seen or heard something and never felt safe enough to come forward. I hope that anyone who holds even the smallest piece of information might feel encouraged to speak up now, especially with the reward in place.
