I've been reflecting on all the stories about Bob Violette's dedication to youth bowling and how much he and Lucille meant to the Lewiston community. The foundation that’s been set up in their names is such a wonderful way to honor their memory. It's hard to imagine the bowling alley without Bob’s infectious enthusiasm or Lucille’s warm presence. I was particularly touched by the personal accounts from young bowlers he coached, saying how he always encouraged them to do their best and made them feel part of something bigger. It really speaks to the kind of people Bob and Lucille were – always giving and nurturing. It's tragically unfair for such warm, giving souls to have been taken so violently. Even though they’ve left, their spirit clearly persists in the ongoing programs for youth bowling, helping a positive part of their legacy continue enriching lives. For their family and all those kids who saw Bob as a mentor, I hope the foundation brings some solace and keeps their passion for the sport alive. It's actions like these, both big and small, that remind us of the difference one loving, dedicated couple can make in a community. Sending strength and love to everyone touched by this horrible event.

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about Bob and Lucille Violette after the tragic events at Just-In-Time Recreation. I wasn’t close to them personally, but being part of the Lewiston community, I’ve seen firsthand how much they gave to our area. Bob's work with the youth league was something really special. It's hard to imagine the alley without his encouraging presence. His dedication to fostering young talent made such a positive mark—not just on the kids, but on the whole community. Lucille's support was evident too; they were truly partners in every sense. Has anyone heard how the new foundation in their name is progressing? It’s heartening to know that even after such a senseless act, something positive might bloom from their legacy. I hope it helps their spirit and love for bowling continue to inspire young people. Would love to hear if anyone has updates or knows more about how we can support or get involved. Thinking of everyone affected and sending love to those who knew them personally. They were truly a gift to all of us. Stay safe, everyone. ?

I've been thinking a lot about the incredible impact Bob and Lucille had on our community, especially when it comes to youth bowling. It's just so tragic that their lives were cut short, but I'm inspired to see the foundation that's been created in their memory. Bob dedicated so much time to coaching and mentoring young bowlers—he was more than just a coach; he was a mentor, a friend, and someone the kids could look up to. Not only did he teach them the skills of the game, but he also instilled values of teamwork and discipline. Lucille, always by his side, showed us what it truly meant to be supportive. It's beautiful to see that their legacy will live on through the foundation. I'm hopeful it will help keep the spirit of community they nurtured alive and maybe even inspire the next generation to love the sport as much as they did. To anyone feeling the loss, know that Bob and Lucille touched many lives, and their memory will continue to make a difference.
