I came across Vaughn Taylor's case recently, and it's so unsettling to think that it's been almost two decades without any resolutions. Vaughn was shot on 14th Street early in the morning, which makes me wonder if someone passing by might have seen or heard something and didn't realize the significance. I think about the agony his family must feel, waiting for answers day after day. It’s hard to imagine living with that uncertainty. Even if you think what you saw or heard might be insignificant, it could be what finally cracks this case open. The reward offered by the MPD shows how committed they are to finding those responsible, but it also emphasizes how pivotal community input is. Detective Truesdale and his team seem dedicated to closing this chapter for Vaughn's loved ones, but they need our eyes and ears. If you were anywhere around that area back then or have heard anything, even years later, please consider reaching out. You could be the one who finally gives Vaughn's family the justice and closure they’ve been denied for too long.
