Dennis T. Wilson, a 58-year-old White/Caucasian man, was shot off Highway 200 E in East Missoula on June 5, 2015. He was taken to a local hospital with a fatal gunshot wound and later pronounced dead; his death was ruled a homicide. Another man was at the scene and was treated at the hospital but released the next day; that person’s identity has not been made public.

Investigators asked the public to come forward, specifically seeking anyone who attended a yard sale held at the residence where the shooting occurred that Friday morning or early afternoon. One person was brought in for questioning and later released, and no arrests have been announced. The investigation remains open and the case is cold with unanswered questions.
