Marvin Gallaher, a 54-year-old Caucasian man, was found dead of a gunshot wound in the woods near Trout Creek, Montana, on July 9, 2015. The Sanders County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call and opened an investigation into the killing.
Within days investigators identified and arrested two men in connection with the shooting: William Lee Funke, then 72, and Christopher Michael Foiles, then 39. Both were taken into custody without incident and held at the Sanders County Jail. Authorities said the shooting arose from a dispute, but the specific nature of that disagreement has not been released.
Does anyone with knowledge of Trout Creek in 2015 or who knew Gallaher have information about conflicts he may have been involved in that summer?
