A 57-year-old woman, Ophelia Leffler, and her son, Donnagan Leffler, were found dead inside a home on Garden Drive in Boulder, Montana, on August 27, 2023. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says the new owner of a house that had been abandoned for years discovered the bodies and called 911 at 12:37 p.m.; a deputy who entered confirmed two deceased individuals and secured the scene.

Investigators determined Donnagan shot and killed his mother before turning the firearm on himself. Reports note Donnagan had posted about mental health struggles on social media in the period leading up to the deaths. No arrests were made after the case was closed as a murder-suicide.

Does anyone have information about the Lefflers or the Garden Drive property that could help clarify what happened that afternoon?
