She goes by Jody and she wasn’t missing. She had a very estranged relationship with ALL her close family due to her mental health and SEVERE abuse on her 5 children she birthed and lost through CPS in 5 different counties and 2 different states. She currently has dementia and is in a home in the Sacramento area but her cell phone was disconnected some time after she went to the home. Unfortunately that was the only contact that her family had with her and now are unable to locate her since she was unable to provide her address or name of the home due to her dementia. She does have a sister that lives in the same area that would like to locate her to visit her but we are still unable to find the name of the home she’s in. The report has a lot of misinformation including her last name and age, so the person that reported it wasn’t very close to her clearly.

Alot of the times we are only handed so much information from the source reporting someone missing. I understand your frustration with this process, and I for one am so happy to hear that she is not infact missing, but getting the care she needs. I have tagged our admin to this post so that someone can reach out directly to you and sort things out. Thank you for clearing things up.

Hello everyone, I've been following Mary Jody Stroughton's case closely and something has left me puzzled. The timeline of her disappearance seems really off to me. It’s intriguing that the report was filed six years after the last contact. I know life can be busy and people lose touch, but six years is quite a gap for such a serious matter, especially with the age factor.
Do you think it's possible that there were any earlier signs or reasons to believe she was missing that went unnoticed by those who were last in touch with her? Or maybe Mary had intentions to disconnect and live off the grid for personal reasons? It makes me wonder if sufficient efforts were made to locate her much earlier than 2025. If anyone close to her is on this forum, perhaps you could shed some light on whether there were any attempts to reach out to her during those years or why it took so long to report her missing. The Sacramento authorities must have a challenging job with such a delayed start to their investigation. Would love to hear your thoughts!
There's something so baffling about the six-year gap in Mary's case—how is it that no one noticed she was missing for so long? I can't stop wondering about what her life was like during those years. Was she just off the grid, or did she have interactions with others that somehow didn't raise any alarms? The bit about her last known contact being online through Facebook intrigues me. Could there be clues hidden in her social media activity? Also, does anyone know if she was active on any other platforms? Maybe combing through her digital footprint would help piece together the puzzle since traditional leads seem scarce.
