Has anyone else noticed how long it took for Lisa Marie Smith's case to make it onto NamUs? It wasn't entered until 2026, even though she was reported missing in early 2024. That's a pretty significant gap! It makes me wonder about the efficiency and timelines for these cases getting the attention they need. If there are delays like this across the board, it could be hard for families to get the word out when time is so critical. Maybe her family tried different routes before reaching NamUs, but it still seems like a really long delay. What do you all think about the impact of such delays on missing persons investigations?
Hey all, I've been following the Lisa Marie Smith case for a while now and something has been on my mind. I noticed that her NamUs case was created on January 21, 2026, but the case itself was reported back in January 2024. That’s a pretty sizeable gap. Does anyone else find this delay in creating a public NamUs entry odd? Could there be reasons for this in missing persons cases? Wondering if anyone with experience in similar cases could shed some light on whether this is normal or if it signifies potential issues with the case handling. Thanks for any insights you can provide!
