Does anyone else find it hard to shake the image of Amparo's children during this whole ordeal? I can't even begin to imagine the trauma they must have experienced witnessing such a horrifying event. It’s bad enough to lose a parent, but to see it happen in front of you... just unthinkable. I truly hope they’ve found some comfort and support over these years. This event clearly had ripple effects, impacting not only her immediate family but also the wider community who are feeling the loss. And as much as Diaz’s sentence might bring some closure, it doesn’t erase the pain and loss faced by those left behind. It’s a reminder of the devastating realities of domestic violence, something that shouldn’t be overshadowed amidst the legal proceedings. My heart truly goes out to everyone who knew and loved Amparo.
