Does anyone else find it eerie how Carpenter managed to stay off the radar for over two years? I can’t imagine how Shirley’s family felt during that time, not knowing what happened or if they would ever get answers. The fact that the breakthrough came from a gun database makes me think about all the cold cases out there that might be solved with similar technology. It’s terrifying to think someone could commit such a violent act just for money. I hope Shirley’s family has found some peace now that justice has been served, but my heart goes out to them for what they endured during those years of uncertainty.

Hello everyone, I've been following Shirley Ramey's case for some time, and I'm really curious about the use of gun databases in linking weapons to crimes. I read that Judith Carpenter's arrest came about because of a gun found in her car, which was eventually traced back to Shirley's murder. It's fascinating how these databases can connect the dots years after a crime has been committed. It makes me think about how many cases might go unsolved because those connections aren't made sooner. In Shirley's case, it provided some answers to a family left shattered by such a brutal loss. I wonder if anyone here has more insights into how often cases are solved this way. It must be incredibly frustrating for families and law enforcement to wait, but this technology seems to be a crucial tool in bringing justice. Shirley's family must have been through so much; I'm hoping they find some solace in the resolution, even if it can never make up for their loss. Take care, everyone.
