I still can't wrap my head around the tragedy at the Motel 6 in Rexburg. My heart goes out to the Jespersen families. I was particularly struck by the efforts made during the aftermath, like requesting a school bus to shelter the guests who had to be evacuated. It speaks volumes about the sense of community and urgency from both law enforcement and local services. I can only imagine how terrifying it must have been for those staying there—not just hearing gunshots but also facing the uncertain aftermath where they had to seek refuge in such a way. If anyone in the area knows more about how the community is recovering or how they’re supporting the families, I’d be interested to hear. Everyone affected by this is in my thoughts.
