Hey everyone, just wanted to share something I’ve been thinking about regarding the Aaliyah Jacobs and Neal Bolster case. It’s been over two years since that terrible day in Hinsdale, and I can’t help but wonder if the unsealing of the arrest warrant affidavit might finally give the families some of the answers they've been searching for. Even though Shippee is no longer alive to face trial, maybe the details in the affidavit could provide some clarity on what happened and why. I can't imagine what Aaliyah's family and friends have been through over the past couple of years, living with unanswered questions and the weight of their loss. If anyone on here has had a chance to read the affidavit or if it's available to the public, do you think there’s anything in there that might bring some peace to the loved ones who have suffered so much? Would love to hear your thoughts or any updates anyone might have. Keeping Aaliyah, Neal, and their families in my thoughts.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Aaliyah Jacobs and how devastating this entire situation must be for her loved ones. Even though Derrick Shippee was charged posthumously, I can’t stop wondering about the impact this has on those who cared for her and Neal. Waiting two years for the arrest affidavit to be unsealed must have been incredibly difficult, especially with so many questions still hanging in the air. It’s good that there is at least some advancement in the case, but it must still feel like an unimaginable loss for Aaliyah's family and friends. My thoughts are with all those who knew and loved Aaliyah and Neal.

I'm still thinking about how unsettling it must have been for Aaliyah’s family when the arrest warrant affidavit was finally unsealed in 2021. Even though Derrick Shippee was already deceased, it had to be overwhelming for them to see the evidence compiled against him. I've read that unsealing an affidavit like this might provide some closure or at least more understanding of what happened, but I can’t imagine the mix of emotions it must stir up. With Shippee gone, it seems like justice was left hanging in the air, making it even more difficult for everyone who loved Aaliyah and Neal. My heart goes out to their families for the strength they’ve had to endure this process. It makes me hope that their communities have rallied around them, bringing some measure of comfort amidst the unresolved questions.
