Wow, this case has been haunting Burlington for over 50 years now. It's so tragic to think about what Lloyd "Pat" Fitzgerald's family and friends have gone through all this time. I was reading about the location where his body was discovered – the cornfield near the Ethan Allen Homestead. It got me wondering why that spot was chosen. Was it just a random location, or did the perpetrator have some connection to the area? It seems strange and unnerving to think about how much time has passed and still so many unanswered questions linger. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like for his loved ones, carrying this weight for so long. Keeping Lloyd in my thoughts and hoping they finally get some closure soon. If anyone out there has even the slightest information, I hope they decide to come forward. Every little detail could help bring peace to the people who have suffered for far too long.
