I’ve been following the case of Carl Bryant's tragic death at the Roger Williams Green apartment complex, and something has been really weighing on my mind. Imagine being Julie Boyd, just asleep in the safety of your own home, and the next thing you know, you’re caught up in a nightmare simply because of where you live. It’s terrifying how life can change in an instant because of someone else's actions. I’m relieved that Julie survived, but she must be dealing with not just the physical pain but also the emotional trauma of this random act of violence. My heart goes out to her and to Carl’s family. It’s so important for our community to come together and support those affected. Has there been any update about how Julie is doing? And I wonder if there will be any increased security measures to protect residents in the future.
