Has anyone else noticed how incredibly long this investigation took before Maldonado was indicted? Nearly two years is a long time for these families to have waited for any news, let alone justice. It’s understandable that the complex nature of the case required a thorough review of evidence and witness accounts, but it makes you wonder about the emotional toll on the families during this period. Not to mention, it sounds like there could've been video footage and several witnesses right at the scene—how did it take so long to piece things together? I hope the indictment brings some sense of relief to the Diallo and Mbaye families and that the trial will proceed smoothly to bring them some resolution. My heart goes out to them as they continue to navigate this difficult journey.
