I keep thinking about the role that Marios Kirios played in all of this. It's eerie and deeply frustrating to know that a simple act of irresponsibility contributed so heavily to the loss of Dillon Viens. As adults, and especially as gun owners, there’s a massive responsibility on our shoulders. It just seems baffling that with previous charges for improper storage, he didn't change his ways. This incident should serve as a wake-up call for anyone who owns a firearm. Securing weapons properly is not just a legal obligation but a moral one too. Knowing how Dillon’s family has turned their grief into action with "Dillon's Law" is commendable. Change needs to happen to protect our young ones from experiencing such horrific events. My heart goes out to everyone affected, especially Dillon's family and friends.
I've been following Dillon Viens' case closely, and I can't stop thinking about how crucial it is to address the issue of gun storage. It's devastating that Dillon's life was cut short due to someone else's negligence. The fact that Marios Kirios didn't secure his firearm properly and now a teenager is facing manslaughter charges is just awful. As a community, we need to support Dillon's family in pushing for "Dillon's Law." Safe storage laws are long overdue, and they could potentially save lives by preventing accidents and tragedies like this one. I'm hopeful that through passing this legislation, we can prevent other families from experiencing the same grief. My thoughts are with Dillon's loved ones; they deserve justice and peace.
