Hi all, I’ve been thinking a lot about the truly horrific discovery those officers made when they entered Nathan Cooper’s apartment. I can’t even begin to imagine how gut-wrenching it must have been for Berry’s family to hear about the state in which she was found. It's just so sad to think about how her family members, driven by a sense of dread, felt compelled to approach the police. It’s chilling to consider the lengths Cooper went to in order to hide Berry’s body. Moving that refrigerator and securing it—it’s hard to wrap your head around how someone could even think about doing something like that. Honestly, no family should ever have to endure something so tragic and disturbing. My heart truly goes out to Berry's loved ones as they continue to cope with the gravity of this loss. And as the trial verdict came out earlier this year, it’s surely a double-edged sword for them: relief that justice was served, mixed with the ongoing grief over Berry’s tragic end. I hope discussions like this one help keep Berry’s memory alive and remind us to cherish the people we love. Anyone else been reflecting on how her family must be processing all this during the trial and beyond?
