Has anyone else been following the tragic loss of Matthew Wilson at the senior living facility in Cheyenne? I can't stop thinking about how such a terrible event happened in what should have been a safe space. It's especially jarring considering the shooter was someone known to the victims. What really haunts me is how this senseless act must be impacting those two others who were injured. Beyond the physical recovery, I keep thinking about their emotional healing. The trauma of witnessing a friend’s passing in such a violent way is unimaginable to me. I hope these individuals are receiving all the support they need from the community and mental health professionals. It's going to be a long, hard journey for them, and they deserve all the compassion and understanding we can muster. For those who knew Matthew personally, I truly hope they find comfort in their memories of him. He seemed to be a person who brought a lot of joy to those around him. Here's hoping justice brings at least a semblance of peace to everyone affected.
