I've been following the case of Laurie Margaret Thompson, and something that's been on my mind is how her love for hiking might have intertwined with the events leading up to her tragic passing. Dubois is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, and locals know how strong Laurie's passion was for the mountains. I wonder if there’s a chance someone she met during her hikes could have more information or insights regarding the circumstances of her death.
The charges against Lance Clark were dropped, but that’s left an unsettling void about who might really be responsible. The trail seems to have gone cold, yet maybe someone out there who shared her love for the outdoors might have seen or heard something unusual. My heart goes out to her son Tony and grandson Tyson—enduring such a loss without answers must be incredibly difficult. Here's hoping that Laurie's adventurous spirit will somehow lead to a breakthrough in this case.
Has anyone else been curious about the timeline regarding the weapon found in Laurie's house? A .41 caliber revolver isn't exactly a common choice. I wonder if anyone close to her knew she owned this gun, or if it was possibly brought in by someone else. The fact that it was hidden makes me question whether Laurie might have been fearful for her safety prior to this tragic event. It's just hard to piece together why she kept it concealed if it was hers. Thinking about her son and grandson having to deal with all these unanswered questions is really tough. Did she suspect any danger? If only we had more information to make sense of what happened to Laurie. My heart truly goes out to her family as they try to find closure.
