Has anyone else been reflecting on the location where the Fisher-Beartusk tragedy unfolded? It's always shocking when such horrific events happen within families, but the fact that it occurred at Dana Beartusk's own residence adds another layer of sadness to this situation. It's one thing to think of a home as a place of safety and solace, and another to have that trust shattered so utterly. My heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones, as they have to live with the memory of what occurred in what should have been a loving and secure environment. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like for the community in Big Horn, coming to terms with such a violent breach of familial bonds. Sending my thoughts and support to all those affected.

I still can't wrap my head around how Dana Beartusk was able to just flee to another state and make it onto the Northern Cheyenne Reservation after what he did. I mean, how did he manage to travel that distance without drawing attention? It's chilling to think he drove all that way knowing what he’d done. I'm relieved they caught him quickly, but it raises questions about how easily someone can disappear, even briefly, after something so horrific. My heart goes out to the family dealing with such a devastating loss. Hoping they find some closure with him behind bars, though I know it won't bring back their loved ones.
