Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Erin Johnson and her son Owen? It's such a devastating loss for the Sheridan community. I was reading through some of the articles and what really stands out to me is Erin’s Etsy business. It's incredible how she managed to craft a successful career out of her passion for jewelry-making, all while being present for her son.
The jewelry business sounds like it wasn't just a job for Erin but a real expression of her creativity and love of life. I checked out her shop’s profile (what’s left of it) and the reviews speak volumes about who she was: so kind, attentive, and talented. It's just heartbreaking that her life was cut short so tragically.
I can only imagine how difficult this must be for her family and friends who have to navigate life without her vibrant spirit. Sending all my thoughts and prayers to them. If any of you are local to Sheridan and attended the Celebration of Life, how was the turnout? I hope they felt the love and support of the community.
I've been thinking a lot about Owen in all of this. It's devastating to imagine what his young life could have been like and the future he had ahead of him. Friends from his school described him as bright, funny, and full of life—just like his mom, Erin. It's clear he touched the hearts of everyone around him and had a special bond with his mother. With Erin's love for music and creativity, I wonder about the kind of person Owen was growing into. Did he inherit her artistic talents? Was he beginning to carve out his own path alongside her jewelry-making?
It’s just so sad to think of the moments they will now miss—growing up, high school milestones, future dreams. I hope the community continues to support each other and Erin's family during this difficult time. We should remember Owen for the joy he brought to those who knew him and cherish the mother-son moments they had together. Keeping both of them in my thoughts.
