Hey everyone, I’ve been following the tragic events at Composite America and something just stays with me – the bravery of April Carbone. I've read that she was desperately trying to get away when Reese turned the gun on her. It’s just so profoundly sad to think of her fear in those final moments while trying to protect her unborn child. Witnessing something like this must be incredibly traumatic for all involved, especially the fellow employees who had to face such a terrifying incident. My heart goes out to Richard and April’s families. Can’t even begin to imagine the hole left in their lives. It's a stark reminder of how precious life is and how quickly things can change in an instant. Has anyone heard if Composite America is providing any ongoing support for their workers? Such events can’t just be brushed off and I hope there’s an avenue for employees to process and heal from this tragedy. Stay safe everyone. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. ?

I've been following the case of the shooting at Composite America, and one aspect that I find so haunting is the fact that Reese drove himself to the police station after the incident. It's chilling to think about what must have been going through his mind during that car ride. I can't imagine the internal struggle or level of disconnect from reality that would lead someone to commit such a horrific act and then voluntarily turn themselves in. This aspect of the case just highlights how unpredictable workplace tensions can become and the devastating consequences they can have if left unchecked. My heart goes out to the families of Richard Pittman and April Carbone, as well as their unborn daughter Layla. It's a painful reminder of the importance of mental health support and conflict resolution in high-stress environments. I truly hope workplaces can learn from this tragedy and implement measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
