Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the tragic case of Douglas Dulmage and the others involved, and my heart truly goes out to their families and friends grappling with this immense loss. ?
Something that has really stuck with me is the location where this happened. A beautiful wheat field, something usually so serene and representative of growth and hard work, becoming the site of such a tragedy. It’s almost haunting to think about how that place has changed from a symbol of life and nourishment to one of loss and grief.
For those who lived near Leeds or Cando, do you feel this has changed how you or the community see that area? Are there any efforts to commemorate the victims or acknowledge what's occurred there in a meaningful way? I can't imagine how hard it must be to reconcile those feelings, but sometimes these conversations can bring a bit of peace or understanding.
Sending love and strength to everyone impacted.
I've been following the discussion around the tragic events on Douglas Dulmage's farm, and one thing that's resonated with me is how deeply this has impacted the local community. I've seen several posts mentioning how tight-knit Leeds is, and it's clear from the outpouring of love and support that Dulmage was truly cherished. It's just such a heavy realization that such violence touched the lives of people known for their warmth and camaraderie.
I have to wonder about the mental state of Robert Bracken leading up to that day. There seems to be a lot we don't know about the tensions that existed between him and Richard. Disputes can sometimes cloud judgment, but it's hard to comprehend how it escalated to this point. I can't help but think about whether there were signs that those close to them might have missed or felt unable to act upon.
My heart goes out to Douglas's family and friends, as well as the families of the others. Hoping peace finds them as they navigate such a painful aftermath.
Has anyone else been following the tragedy involving Douglas Dulmage and the Bracken family? I just read about it, and it's such a heavy situation for the entire Leeds and Cando communities. I keep thinking about how unexpected it must have been for Douglas, just out there doing what he always did—farming and working hard for his community. It's comforting to hear from people who knew him and who speak so highly of his kindness and generous spirit. In such a tightly knit area, losing someone like him must feel like an immense void. I'm hoping that as time moves on, the community finds some healing and that Douglas' family and friends receive all the support they need. Also, I'm struggling to wrap my head around the family dynamics with the Brackens—makes you wonder what could drive someone to such a dark place. Truly gut-wrenching on every level.
