Has anyone else been following the updates on the Van Pelt case? It's so unsettling to think about how this tragedy unfolded right around the holidays. My heart truly goes out to his children and family; having to celebrate Christmas without him must have been incredibly difficult. I found it interesting, though probably challenging for them, how local judges and prosecutors have recused themselves. It really makes you think about the impact these relationships and roles have in a small community. It's a tough situation all around. I hope justice will be served, whatever the truth may reveal. Thoughts?
