Has anyone else thought about the legacy of Chief Pace's family? It's devastating to imagine what they must have gone through losing him so suddenly and violently. From what I've read, he was known not just as a dedicated officer but also as a loving father and husband. His children must have faced unimaginable hardships growing up without their dad. I hope the town and local law enforcement rallied around them in the years that followed. In cases like these, community support can make a huge difference. It’s heartening to know that Chief Pace's sacrifice is remembered, but I wonder, do any memorials or annual events honor his memory and contributions to the community? It’d be fitting to have something to continually remind people of the risks officers take and the families they leave behind in service of public safety.
